About

New Liberty is a missionary outreach of New Liberty Baptist Church of Polk, OH and Pastor Mike Thompson.  The vision is for a renewal of ministry in a once thriving work in Lexington.  Our desire is simply following the model laid out in the book of Acts.  We seek to communicate the love of the truth of the Word of God.  We believe that all have sinned (Romans 3:23) and need the gift of God’s forgiveness by believing in His Son Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins that we might have everlasting life (John 3:16).  We desire to live out a new life in Jesus Christ, hold out hope and forgiveness to the world around us and seek a daily relationship with the Living God who has redeemed us.

We believe in the need for Christian fellowship and the importance of godly accountability.  We desire to give ourselves to Christian service through giving our time and talents and helping those in need.  We live in this world with the deep reality that there is a future eternity in which anyone who comes to faith in Jesus Christ will dwell with the Lord (John 14:3).  This message of the hope of heaven has been handed down through the saints of every generation by the truth of the Lord’s Word.

We are a member of the Southern Baptist Convention and are thankful for their strong and godly tradition of holding to the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude v. 3).  We support and recommend other ministries which strive for promoting the gospel message and help encourage believers in their walk with the Lord.  Check out the Southern Baptist Convention and some of these fine ministries in the drop down menu under “about us.”
